Average score per round adjusted for the field's scoring each week, lowest first. Values and ranksare the Tour's published figures for the 2012 season; OTIS applies no minimum of its own, because a season figure exists only for players the Tour qualified for one. Sourcing is described in the methodology; the stat is defined in the glossary.

What this leaderboard ranks

Scoring Average for the 2012 PGA Tour season, lowest first. Average score per round adjusted for the field's scoring each week, lowest first. The table lists 191 players — every player the Tour published a 2012figure for — with each name linking to that player's full profile, where the same figure sits in their season table beside every other season they played. Values and ranksare the Tour's published season statistics, restated: nothing on this page is computed, estimated or projected by OTIS. The 2012 season is complete, so these are its published figures rather than a snapshot in motion.

How the Tour's ranks and ties work

The number in the first column is the Tour's published rank for the season, not a list position. Players the Tour ranks level share the same number, so the column can repeat itself, and the list is ordered by that rank first and by the value second. This is the reverse of the career and green-type boards, where the site declines to invent a tie-break and numbers straight down the list: here a competition rank exists and is published, so it is shown as published. When two players share a rank, the value column separates them only if their figures differ at the precision the Tour prints, and where they do not, the order between them is alphabetical and means nothing.

Coverage and eligibility

A player appears here when the Tour published a 2012season figure for them, and not otherwise. OTIS applies no minimum of its own, because a season figure exists only for players the Tour qualified for one: a player without the qualifying rounds has no published figure, so there is nothing to rank. The measured-rounds column shows how many shot-tracked rounds sit behind each row, and it is worth reading before the value — the same figure means more over a full season than over a few weeks. Where the figure is published but the rounds count is not, that column shows a dash rather than a guess. Players who played the season without meeting the Tour's threshold are absent, not shown at zero.

Common questions

Who leads the PGA Tour in Scoring Average in 2012?

Rory McIlroy leads the 2012 Scoring Average board with a 68.873 scoring average, per the Tour's published season figures and rank. The full list of 191 players is on this page, each linked to their profile.

Is the first column the Tour's rank or a list position?

The Tour's published rank. Players the Tour ranks level share a number, and the list is ordered by that rank first and the value second.

Why is a player missing from this leaderboard?

Because the Tour published no 2012 Scoring Average figure for them. OTIS applies no minimum of its own; a player who did not meet the Tour's threshold for a season statistic has nothing to rank and is left out rather than shown at zero.

Where do these figures come from?

They are the PGA Tour's published season statistics, restated without adjustment or recalculation. The same value appears in the player's season table on their profile, and the methodology page describes the sourcing.

Sourcing is set out on the methodology page; every stat name is defined in the glossary.
