Who is in this week's field

This is the entry list for the tournament being played now, as the tour itself publishes it: every player committed to the event, with their world ranking where one exists and the category that got them into the field. Full-field PGA Tour events usually run to around a hundred and fifty players; invitationals, the majors and the season-ending events are smaller by design, and the list here is whatever the tour actually posted rather than a fixed number. Amateurs are marked, because they are in the field but not playing for the purse. Withdrawals stay on the list, struck through, rather than disappearing — a player who pulled out on Tuesday is part of the story of the week, and silently deleting them makes the field look like it was always this one. Every name links through to that player's full record.

Where the field list comes from

Straight from the tour's own published field feed, read on the same refresh that drives the live leaderboard, and never edited on the way through. That feed carries each player's status, whether they are an amateur, whether they are an alternate waiting on a spot, and the category that earned them the start — a points list, a past win, a sponsor invitation or Monday qualifying. The world ranking shown beside a name is the ranking the feed published for that player, which is why some entries have none: a player outside the ranked list, or an amateur, simply has no number, and OTIS leaves the space empty rather than filling it with a guess. Fields move all week as commitments close and players withdraw, so the list is only ever as current as the timestamp under it.

What the field list does not tell you

A field list is a roster, not a form guide. World ranking is a two-year rolling measure that moves slowly, so it describes a career span rather than how somebody is playing this month — a player can be ranked inside the top thirty and arrive off three missed cuts, and the ranking will not say so. Nothing here weights the course, and nothing here is a prediction. Alternates are listed as alternates because whether they get in depends on other players' withdrawals, which are not knowable in advance. If you want the field ordered by something other than the alphabet, the model does that: current form has its own ranking, and how each player's game matches this particular course is scored separately.

Common questions

How many players are in a PGA Tour field?

A standard full-field event is usually about 144 to 156 players. Invitationals, signature events and the majors run smaller fields, and the season-ending events smaller still. The count shown on this page is the field the tour actually published for this week, not a standard number.

When is the field for a PGA Tour event announced?

Commitments close the week before the tournament, and the tour publishes the field from that point, so the list is usually firm by the Friday before. It keeps moving until play starts as players withdraw and alternates take their places.

What do the AM and WD tags mean?

AM marks an amateur — in the field, and not playing for prize money. WD marks a player who has withdrawn. Withdrawn players are kept on the list rather than removed, so the field you see is the field as it happened rather than as it was tidied up afterwards.

Does this list include alternates and Monday qualifiers?

Qualifiers are in the field like anyone else, with the qualifying route recorded as their entry category. Alternates are shown apart from the committed field, because whether an alternate plays depends on a withdrawal that has not happened yet.
